The Upcycled Collection - I decided to challenge myself to create new items using just leftover thread from other projects and this is the result.

This One Of A Kind floral bookmark was carefully shuttle tatted in a variety of high quality multicoloured cotton threads (lilacs, purples, peach, blues, pinks, yellows and more). It features thirty seven small flowers, totalling almost 1,800 double stitches, all joined together to create this hexagon pattern that reminds me of English paper piecing. I had no plan for the colours but whilst creating it, I tried to pick ones that blended with the adjacent flowers. I love the result!

Width: 1 3/8 inches (35mm). Length: slightly over 6 1/8 inches (156mm). It will arrive in a handmade stiff card slipcase with care instructions included.

This would make a lovely gift or why not treat yourself.
